The Interviews and Filming sessions ...

Hi Folks

Last week, the management decided to film the sessions going on in class (for publicity purposes). It was a good initiative on their part. There was good co-operation from the student lot too.

They came in during an accounting lecture and filmed the class for some time. After that, they interviewed each and every committee's members.

We from the OPNG committee started the interview session followed by the other committees. We told about what we were doing as part of our committee work. It was a good opportunity for all the committee members to tell the outside world about what they were doing for the class.

After all this, the camera also followed the hostel students to their respective halt spots.

The purpose of this exercise was to capture the Manipal student's ideal day at college.

Eagerly waiting for the day when the video is released to the WWW sphere :)

Teachers Day Celebration

Hi Folks ,

Sorry for the extended delay ,we were all very busy with tests & assignments :D

The Teachers day celebs on Sep 4th was a grand success ...there was a very interactive & entertaining Q&A session, where the students asked the Questions & teachers replied .....

Their replies were very interesting ..

After this, all teachers were felicitated on behalf of the student crowd .

On the whole it was a refreshing session amidst mundane lectures

Internal Class Activities

The Film committee's Girish Kasaravalli special

Hi Pals

Our film committee friends had organized a small session on the great Kannada film maker Girish Kasaravalli. We came to know of the man's caliber through his video interview and also some shots from his movie "Gulabi Talkies"

Chaitanya and Shruti gave us some nice info on the great man.

The committee has also invited Girish Sir himself to come and interact with us this week.

The Academic Committee's QUIZ

Hi guys

Hope all of you enjoyed the academic committee's quiz. It was conducted very well by Angad and co. Hats off to them

The quiz was extra special to the IT committee because we won the quiz. Myself Kaushik, Rohit and Ajay won the finals in a very thrilling finish. It was very interesting.

Our team was called the WOODIES. We finished first, followed closely by the FIGHTERS and then the 3 IDIOTS and INVINCIBLES

There was also a preliminary round conducted last week. The 4 teams mentioned above progressed through to the finals after a written test.

On the whole, this exercise was awesome. Three cheers to the organizers, the audience and last but not the least the participants.

Looking forward to more such efforts from the academic committee. We are there to support them
